Choosing a civil or commercial mediator.

Many civil or commercial mediators are lawyers who have trained as mediators. However, TCM Civil draws on professional mediators who are more inclined towards relationship building rather than adversarial proceedings and litigation.

In some mediations, the parties may have a legal professional with them and we generally advise parties to gain independent legal advice in order to ensure that you know the range of settlement options, and that you can fully assess the risk of going to court.
